| Hi! My name is Marta and I live in a small town near the beach called Lavra. My town is really pretty and I love living there. It’s great because there are lots of places where you can spend your free time. I think that the city and the countryside are two very different places to live in, but they both have advantages and disadvantages. In the city everything is handy and you can easily walk from one place to another. The quality of life is worse, because there’s too much traffic, noise, stress and pollution. If you want to feel the nature, you have to go to a park. But there are certain advantages: it’s easier to find a job and there are more places where you can spend your free time – museums, cinemas, theatres … On the other side, in the country you can live a quiet and peaceful life. There’s more space, you can hang around with your friends outside even in the evening and breathe fresh, clean air. There are fewer cars, the neighbours are friendlier and the landscape is extremely green. In my opinion, right now it’s better to live in the country. But in the future, I want to study and live in a big city where it will be easier to find a job. Marta Monteirinho, Number 18 8thC | |
